Is This The Great Moderation Of Women In Pakistan ?
It raises a question how Pakistani women are dying to get famous I guess. Now Pakistan is now on the road to moderation. And soon she will get a green card 🙂
Veena Malik bares it all for FHM India Edition (Pic: http://www.fhmindia.com / FHM India December 2011 Issue)
Veena Malik, a Pakistani actress, model and comedienne, has denied posing nude for after an alleged photo of her appeared on the Indian online edition of FHM.
1) Veena was born in Rawalpindi, a city in the Pothohar region of Pakistan near the capital city of Islamabad, to an Army soldier and his wife. She is believed to have been born in 1978.
2) Before becoming an actress, Veena worked as a comedian for several television shows and series. She made her acting debut alongside Shaan and Zara Sheikh in Askari’s Tere Pyar Mein in 2000.
3) Veena was a basketball player throughout school and college.
4) She is reported to have graduated with a BA degree in Sociology, Psychology and Persian.
5) In 2007, she appeared on the red carpet for the Lux Style Awards, being awarded the tag of “most stylish celebrity on the carpet”.
6) After achieving greater fame through a series of ‘Lollywood’ movies – the term used to describe films made in Lahore – she really hit the big time when taking part in the Indian version of Big Brother, Big Boss 4, in 2010.
7) She was evicted two weeks before the finals, and was one of the final six contestants out of the original fourteen who had participated. WWE wrestler The Great Khali was also among the housemates.
8) Her outspoken views have won her many fans from Pakistan’s youth and liberals. Confronted about her “immoral” behaviour by cleric Mufti Abdul Qawi on a talk show, she insisted that Pakistan had far more issues to focus on than her.
9) In February of this year Veena, became part of a Cricket World Cup reality show called Big Toss where she was captain of one of the two teams.
10) She has worked as a representative at the World Health Organization for over two years.
11) According to reports, her favourite Indian cricketer is Sachin Tendulkar – although she is a fan of the Australian game too. “But if there’s a cricketer I deeply admire, it is Brett Lee,” she said.
Mohammad Asif
12) In response to criticism that she thrives on controversies and scandals, Veena is reported to have suggested she has not been praised enough for being caught up in the match-fixing scandal involving Mohammad Asif.
It is claimed she said: “I seriously expected a bravery award after what I have done. My life isn’t secure anymore after these revelations. This is a male-dominated world and they try to cut to size all bold women. In Pakistan, it is a crime to be bold, beautiful and young. And I am all three.”

I must say that I was unaware of this young woman or what she may or may not have done. It seems the desire for fame has made a lot of people do many things that I don’t think they’ve given much serious thought about.

Now I’m really in a blather of confusion.I can only say the human body is beautiful,as a figure painter, what most people what not consider beautiful, I have as well as many artists. What I find offensive is the provocative way these models pose, why don’t they just take there clothes off instead of justifying what they are proposing via the camera? No one be should shunned to that extreme but really is reality. As an American-Canadian, I feel same, be responsible. Women are oppressed in our hearts and minds to the point where it is almost invisible.

I have to agree pn the statement that human are beautiful from the other living beings. In the art world iy is more like a imagination and fantasy thoughts live in all human some do express in unique way which may need further elaboration from the artist who produces their work.
As a British I don’t have a problem even if she walks in the streets of London with no cloths on. If that’s her choice of living it doesn’t bother me at all. She is basically hungry for fame to create her popularity so that she will be known as celeb which is not really possible as the public demand something different. She will be her own down fall at the end.

I’ll give you the thumbs up, Tale of My Heart, for what you said to gran Asif, being that “if she posed for a magazine then she shouldn’t be denying that she posed”.
Everything I write, do, live, am, I strive to be honestly. It should come naturally, shouldn’t it. But if I did “something”, I would say yes, I did do that; are you interested to know why at all? Want to talk about it. I sure wouldn’t be denying it.
I don’t believe she deserves death threats however. Has anyone noticed at ALL?? This Veena, it’s HER body, it’s HER life.
But thanks for the read, it was interesting to me.
And happy new year, Tale of My Heart 🙂 sincerest best.

We all strive to be brave and bold the sad thing is it is easier to be so in some countries than others!! I feel saddened that there are so many women oppressed by the veil. I do know some women feel safer wearing the veil but to others it is just a form of control. Thank you for telling us all about this.

Thanks for your comments, i am grateful for your time. Veena is mentally disturb women she hasn’t got enough knowledge to go in any kind of debate apart from she just need attention as she was rejected kind from her own people.
Dont take me wrong she just want to be celebrity, It is quite sadden that even she is rejected by her even neighboring countries…… I think she should seek some mental help before criticizing any 🙂
I hope she may find her identity one day or she become Pamela Anderson 😀
