What’s all the fuss about? A man assaults Rihanna (or possibly rapes her), so she shoots him.

Rihanna’s new video for the song “Man Down” starts with her shooting a man. Whoops, I guess I just gave away the plot. Anyway, it didn’t take long before groups like the Parents Television Council ripped the video. Basically, their point is that Rihanna is a role model and this video sends a message that killing someone is an acceptable form of revenge. Rihanna‘s response after you watch the video below.

Rihanna‘s response to her critics: she tweeted, quote, “I’m a 23-year-old rock star with NO KIDS! What’s up with everybody wanting me to be a parent?”

Another tweet reads, “The music industry isn’t exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US! It’s YOUR job to make sure they don’t turn out like US.”
