Accused Molesting Priest Blamed God

A FORMER Catholic priest accused of molesting boys at a Victorian school told a colleague that “God made us this way and it’s his fault”, court documents allege.
David Edwin Rapson, 59, is accused of abusing boys between 1973 and 1990, including at the Salesian College Rupertswood in Sunbury where he was a teacher.
Rapson is facing a committal hearing in the Melbourne Magistrates Court.
In a statement tendered today, one of the boys alleges he was molested by Rapson in the school infirmary when he was in year 10.
The boy said he was in the infirmary because he had been stung by a bee.
He alleges there were a number of children in the infirmary at the time and Rapson made each drink a cup of Milo.
The boy said the Milo tasted “a bit strong and quite acrid”.
He said he saw Rapson, whom he called Brother Rapson, going to each bed and lifting up the blankets and making derogatory comments about the boys’ penises.
He alleges another priest came into to the room and asked Rapson what he was doing.
Rapson replied: “You know what we do here.”
To which the other priest said: “You’ve really got to resist.”
Rapson replied: “God made us this way and it’s his fault.”
The boy’s statement said Rapson also told the other priest he was the same as him.
A short time later Rapson allegedly molested the boy.
“While he was assaulting me he was saying things like ‘You’re useless, you’re no good’ and things like that,” the boy said in his statement.
The boy, who is now in his 50s, gave his evidence in camera but his statement was released to the media.
Rapson is facing charges including one count of rape and four counts of indecently assaulting a child under 16.
The committal hearing before magistrate Greg McNamara is continuing.

Sadly I think that the ones that are caught are only the tip of the iceburg. Politicians, celebrities, police, teachers, parents doctors in fact anyone is capable of this terrible crime. Human beings, being what they are evil is ever present. I know the Bible says an eye for an eye but I am not sure about executing these people they will have to answer to God. Perhaps they should be shut away to think about what they have done and suffer guilt. I find these crimes abhorrent.
Oh yes they are not afraid of there God. They just like to scare people just to get donation thats all..
Off with their heads! (The smaller one) This has been going on for centuries. The problem is, the church turns a blind eye. The offenders should all be jailed.

While I do believe we are born homosexual or heterosexual, depending on our genetics, I think God gives us a choice. Therefore, the priest chose to be a molester. God never said that this priest had to be a rapist, and saying it’s God’s fault is stupid and shows the priest is either a sociopath who feels he’s a victim or he can’t face what he’s doing and is looking for an excuse.
No we born as male and female only…. the odd pattern develops later due to other facts and I totally disagree with you take sorry.

Their plenty on the web of the scientific and psychological opinions available, search around you will find it. And there are alsomisleading ones who are just making money out of there biased opinion as well..

Certainly the priest is mentally ill Does God create mentally ill people for His purpose? Crippled, diseased, deformed, criminal minds and such? I cannot answer. But a priest is trained in managing his passions within the proscribed framework incumbent on admission to priesthood. He knew his deeds were immoral, wrong and unChristian. He has no excuse or anyone to blame for his disgraceful behavior but himself. If any priest cannot or is unable to control sinful urges he owes it to himself, the community of believers and his Church to resign from his sacred investment as intermediary to God for his flock.

His behavior is very disturbing and punishable by death for sure. cause of his act those victim will suffer all their life…

Thanks Rebeca for your say, yes I know it is quite sickening….. I have no mercy for such acts, and I dont really care if some people like it or not. I can only wish for the Saudi punishment for him but nothing more.
That’s just sad, seems to be one case after another lately.
Good to see you Andy, no Andy loads of case man you cant imagine these just minor who get caught thats all. and this is reality. If this this guy would have been in S Arabia his head should have been rolling or I should say rock and roll.
Majority are planning not to get caught thats all……
A well deserved rock and roll indeed, how can they call themselves men of faith and yet commit such atrocities right?
